We discovered as we were transitioning Glassy Gals NM from a hobby to a business that we were not alone in our desire for sustainable ways to reuse glass in our area, and several friends and family members soon expressed interest in giving us their glass.

We provide our partners with a designated glass recycling bin, a customizable pick-up schedule, and exclusive discounts. Plus, our process keeps glass out of our landfills, and a portion of our proceeds go to non-profits in our community.

We do ask that glass be rinsed prior to being placed in our bins, but removing labels etc. is not required.

Currently, we are accepting glass donations from residents of Rio Rancho, NM exclusively. We truly are a small, family-run business, and do not have the resources to accommodate a wider radius of travel at this time.

Donation FAQ:
Can I donate my glass?
If you live in Rio Rancho, NM and are willing to keep clean, intact glass for us, we will do our best to accept your donations. At this time, we only accept donations from Rio Rancho Addresses. If we do not have capacity, you will be placed on a waiting list, and we will attempt to expand, as able.

When do you pick up my glass?
We will have planned Pick-ups the first and third Wednesdays of each month (in the evenings). By signing up to donate glass, we will place you on our email list, and if there is a change to our schedule, we will update you.

How do I get my glass ready for pickup?
Please rise your glass and place in the provided bin. Place this bin on your front porch, and we will come retrieve the glass and leave the bin for you to fill again! Please be careful when filling your bin, as severely broken glass can not be accepted due to safety reasons.

What happens with the glass I donate?
We use donated glass to create household goods. We also use the scraps to create tumbled glass stones. The pieces are sold, and a portion of our proceeds are donated to local non-profit organizations.

What if I don’t want to donate glass anymore?
While we would love for you to join us on this endeavor for as long as you can, we understand it may not be for everyone. If you decide you would no longer like to donate, please simply email us at glassygalsnm@gmail.com and we will pick up your bin.
