Product Safety Recommendations
Our small business focuses on repurposing glass, and while our handmade products allow each item to be truly unique, some inherent risk is involved. We do have the following recommendations to minimize the risk of injury while enjoying your Glassy Gals NM, LLC purchase. Our items are cut and sanded by hand, and edges may still be capable of injury. Purchase of our items indicates acknowledgement of this and agreement to hold Glassy Gals NM, LLC, not liable for injury.
Candles
As with all candles, Glassy Gals NM, LLC candles should be burned within site, keeping away from children/pets, and away from flammable items. We recommend you trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting, and only burn on a level, fire-resistant surface. You should also never burn a candle longer than 4 hours.
Some glass containers are more heat-resistant than others. Due to this, we do not make large wine bottle candles, and the bulk of our candle containers are, in fact, repurposed candle containers. It is recommended that you check the outer surface of your candle hourly to ensure it is not too hot, and do not let the candle flame become too large (you can ensure this by keeping the wick a proper length).
Table Torches
Our Torches are made to be used with Outdoor Tiki Torch Fuel. Use of alternative fuels can either decrease torch effectiveness or increase risk of injury. We recommend allowing the wick to soak for at least 1 hour prior to lighting. Once lit, do not try to move your torch without extinguishing it first. When extinguishing your torch, pay attention and use caution to avoid hand burns/knocking over the torch.
Wind Chimes
Do not hang next to solid surface, as chime may blow with the wind and break. We recommend hanging over non-concrete surface. Do not pull on chime. It is not made to withstand excessive human force.
Bird Feeders
Secure on a solid surface. We recommend a funnel for filling with your preferred bird food.
